The basic CBSE curriculum has been further enhanced keeping in mind the integration of 21st Century skills and activities have been incorporated to foster and mentor all major skills like Collaborative Skills, Communication Skills, Leadership Skills, Global Citizenship Skills and Digital Competency Skills among others.

The students and the teaching fraternity is given full freedom to innovate and explore and experiment in the area of STEAM Education. We have a fully equipped STEAM Laboratory where students get a free hand to explore. It is a part of the regular curriculum.
Teachers have been trained to integrate Art into their regular curriculum to help students broaden their horizon of expression and imbibing of concepts. Art integration has been an approach to teaching in which students construct and demonstrate understanding through an art form of their choice. Students engage in a creative process which connects an art form and the subject to meet the learning objective.
We are a part of the Incubator School Program for Microsoft Showcase Schools. We have fostered excellence in Digital Literacy and have received the Computer Literacy Excellence Awards for Schools, 2003. Many of our teachers are Microsoft Innovative Educator Experts. Our school has been a leader in nurturing digital competencies of teachers and has hosted multiple CBSE IT Workshops for Gujarat Region.
We have always believed that a robust program for sports keeps the student community engaged, active, charged and happy. Various sports are fostered in the school and the school has nurtured National Champions for Basketball, Football, Table Tennis, Tennis, and Chess at the CBSE tournaments.

We organize training programs on student leadership by inviting national level facilitators such as Mr. Kevin Fullbrook from Kuwait, Ms. Bharti Dekate, leading trainer from Gujarat among others.
The School is well-known for the extra-curricular activities that our students engage in. We encourage our students to participate in national and international co-curricular competitions and most often our students have returned as champions.
Navrachana has pioneered programs for generating environmental awareness and sustainability like creating vertical gardens in the school, participating in ‘Plant a Million Trees Mission’, giving out plants to each class to nurture and develop a sense of ownership for the plant. As a result of these initiatives, Navrachana has won the ‘Green School Awards’ at various national platforms.

NHSS has been identified as the Lead School of the CBSE Hub of Schools, and has executed the program efficiently in the district.Our Principal, Mrs. Suprabha Menon is the CBSE City Co-ordinator for Vadodara Region.
While the school believes in the professional development of the Teaching Faculty, it also gives equal importance to the growth of the staff members of the Administration Department, by organising regular training sessions for the admin staff of the school.
We have always believed in the power of education and what amazing changes it can bring to the lives of the children of the economically disadvantaged in the community. Navrachana School, Sama has a strong schooling program called ‘Navprerana’ for these children. Navprerna, affiliated to NIOS, is housed in the main building, extending the infrastructural facility of the main school to these children after school hours. It runs from 2:00pm to 5:30 pm with the medium of teaching being Gujarati. There are always about 300 children in this programme which was incepted on the Children’s Day
This award was conferred upon the School for taking powerful steps to include the disadvantaged students in the mainstream and bringing them up to the level of their peers by running various academic programs like remediation, parent orientation, after school-hours help etc.
The PTA shows solidarity with the student fraternity by procuring sports kit and instituting PTA awards for outstanding students during the annual prize distribution ceremony. The school has had the support of a satisfied parent fraternity, extending help and advice during challenging times. The school does a lot of hand-holding for parents in terms of arranging webinars for parenting and mental health.
Navrachana Higher Secondary School, Sama main building with large spacious classrooms and wide sunlit corridors creates a conducive environment for learning. The school has well equipped science laboratories and exclusive subject rooms like the Mathematics Lab, Social Studies Lab, Fashion Studies Lab, STEAM Lab and Tinkering Lab. The Activity Centre, designed by the famous ‘green’ architect Laurie Baker, caters to Dance, Music, Orchestra and Art Classes. NSS was amongst the first schools in India to recognize the role that digital technology would play in the future and to introduce computers on the campus and into the classroom as early as in the mid-1980s. Keeping in pace with the digital-transformation, Navrachana Higher Secondary School has 4 air-conditioned Computer Labs. As NSS puts equal stress on sports and games, we have two full size basketball courts, a makeshift skating rink, cricket nets, table tennis spots, lawn tennis courts and a shared football ground. There are two air-conditioned Multi Purpose Halls to conduct meetings, seminars, talks, conferences and two Conference Rooms. A well-equipped kitchen with trained staff, provides fresh and tasty meals to students on every working day. There is a huge Dining Hall that seats over 600 students who eat together at a time. Once the main school gives over, the school’s infrastructure is used to conduct the Navprerna schooling program aimed at nurturing children from economically and socially deprived sections of society in the neighbourhood. About 300 children are enrolled every year in this program which is affiliated to National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS).
